A Midsummer Night’s Dream
In Fall of 2021, I was invited to design Lysander’s costume for The Clemson Players’ production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In our production, Lysander was played by a woman and known as ‘Lysandra’. According to Kendra Johnson’s design, the two main couples’ costumes needed to look less dimensional than the intricate and playful world of the fairies. For Lysandra, I chose a simple silhouette that coordinated with Hermia’s costume. It was casual. For research, I used Pinterest and Johnson’s other designs for the show. The pieces were all pulled from stock.
The fairies, Titania, and Bottom.
