In spring of 2025, The Clemson Players produced Into The Woods, and I wanted to get as much experience as possible. My mentor, professor Kendra Johnson, created the role of “Design Liaison” for me, in order to combine working as part of a wardrobe crew and some of the duties of a costume designer. In this role, I was responsible for creating paperwork such as costume plots, inventory sheets, and change sheets. Additionally, I assisted the wardrobe crew in making sure that Johnson’s design goals were realized during the run of the show. I fixed bows, straightened ties, steamed garments, did laundry, and made sure no costume pieces were forgotten.
